“Maintaining Tradition & Current Discourse”

We would like to introduce you to our friendly venues & our ideas. We are a
non-profit making project maintaned by the charity London Community Network
which sponsors Community Arts & Education.

We believe our role to be valuable insofar as we feel it is necessary,
particularly today, to acknowledge our Tradition & Forefathers. Our inherited
canon of & Literature & Philosophy is certainly not a dead, stale thing
but is, in fact, the most meaningful, contemporary & truly contentful 
Reality, as the Present is “in” & part of our Tradition (in the flow of Time)

This outlook, we believe, can help to maintain some equilibrium in
human consciousness in this potentially disruptive period of rapid change.

Often too much reliance on over-extended technology can weaken
our mental discrimination which can then blind us to the
dangers of being seduced by Materialism or facile ideas..

We have a wide, eclectic outlook
regarding content & media, however we have a particular
interest in the Perennial Wisdom Traditions and the Classical Humanities,
although we are not averse to a certain amount of humour!

Situated on the border of the City and the new dynamic East End
Artistic community, The Salon is literally 90 seconds’ walk from
the Bethnal Green tube (Central Line) in Tower Hamlets & the studios are a
 5 minute bus ride from there or a 15 minute walk & are in in Hackney .
